Sclerotherapy

  • Sclerotherapy known as a medical procedure used to eliminate varicose veins and a possible treatment for spider veins. Sclerotherapy involves an injection of a solution directly into the vein. The solution irritates the lining of the blood vessel, causing it to swell and stick together, and the blood to clot.

Procedure

Chemical injections & minimally invasive surgery

  • Chemical injections are used to ablate the varicose veins. Two solutions are made and then mixed into a foam that is injected in to the veins.
  • This is a minimally invasive surgery.
  • This procedure can be done in the office in an outpatient setting.
